Autism Awareness Month…

Many thanks to everyone who made our Autism Awareness Month Service Dog Training Fund Matching Campaign successful. The campaign raised almost $8,500 for DogsInVests. Your support helps us create great teams like Maya and Buddy and Lucy and Daisy featured above. Our dogs receive over 200 hours of training before they are placed with their recipient. Training costs are a significant part of our annual budget and your donations directly impact our mission to provide service dogs to children with autism. Thank you Thank you Thank you.

Goodbye to Cleo...

After much consideration it was determined that Cleo would do best with a high energy recipient. After forging a relationship with V.E.T Service Dogs NFP in Chicago, DogsInVests donated Cleo to their organization. Cleo was paired with her recipient Steve in April. Steve is a veteran. He is also a physical therapist. Steve enjoys a very active lifestyle and he is excited to have Cleo by his side. We are so proud of our girl Cleo and wish this great team much success.

Dogs About Town…

Our dogs have been out and about lately. First, we visited Mounds Pet Food Warehouse in Janesville and Sun Prairie. Mounds held an item donation drive for our pups and we received some wonderful items from their generous customers. Next, we had a booth at the Furry Friends 5K benefitting the Humane Society of Jefferson County. Daisy, Fred, and George enjoyed all the festivities.

Congrats to Evie and Jody…

Our Girl Evie with the help of Puppy Raiser Jody (left) passed her AKC Canine Good Citizen Test. This is the first big step for Evie to become a service dog. We are looking forward to beginning her work with her client soon.

Great Artwork, Great Kids…
